Molecular Mechanisms of Cell Signaling in Cancer and Aging
We study how membrane protein receptors control cellular decisions and how signaling fidelity breaks down in disease and aging.
Molecular Basis of Cellular Resilience
Cells rely on precise communication systems to maintain health. Our lab investigates how membrane proteins and lipids orchestrate these signals. Cancer and aging share a surprising molecular foundation: in both, the signaling systems that normally maintain cellular fidelity break down, leading to disordered growth in cancer and diminished resilience during aging. By developing and applying advanced biophysical and imaging approaches, we uncover the nanoscale mechanisms that govern cellular decisions and identify new opportunities for therapeutic intervention.
